Kill the Band
-Taping-

If you plan on taping an Ours show, remember that the venue determines
the taping policy, not the band.  Tape at your own risk!

Here's some helpful information if you're considering purchasing a minidisc recorder.
Especially if you're on a budget!  (aren't we all?)  Expect the whole setup to cost at least $175

 Minidisc Recorders:

Read reviews of many different MD models

Inexpensive minidisc recorders on etronics.com

Sharp minidisc recorders on ebay

Sharp minidiscs generally perform better with live recordings because you can turn the volume down easily when recording a loud live show.  The Sharp MT15, MT20, and MT190 are good choices.  Make sure your MD has a microphone-in line!!!

Microphones:

A good microphone will normally cost a few hundred dollars.  However, you can get comparable results with the following microphones:

Sony ECM-717 on etronics.com (I've used this microphone with good results)

 You can't go wrong with
sound professionals microphones

B+P Trade Procedure

2.    Place blank media into a padded mailer addressed to yourself (unsealed)

3.    Obtain proper postage and affix to the unsealed padded mailer

4.    Place UNSEALED padded mailer inside of any other type of mailer (i.e. folded
manila  envelope or just another padded mailer)

5.    Address this package to the trader and affix proper postage

6.    Seal mailer and drop package in mail

7.    Email trader to let them know that b+p is now in the mail
