Ours will appear on K-Rock2's Domestic Disturbance radio show on January 28 & February 4. They will be performing some brand new material acoustically and Jimmy has also decided to make Domestic Disturbance the outlet for the world premiere of the new Ours record "Dancing For The Death of an Imaginary Enemy". Big Update: Third Album Named, New OURS Tour Kicks Off!!

A few years and many tears later I'm happy to announce the upcoming release of our third record...

Jimmy Gnecco Shows

Jimmy has another acoustic solo show planned. It will be a benefit in New York City on November 2nd for The Future of Music Coalition. Greg Garing and others will also perform.

November 2, 2006 - NYC, NY @ Slipper Room (located at 167 Orchard St). This is a benefit for The Future of Music Coalition. Show starts at 9pm and Jimmy goes on around 11pm. Suggested donation: $20. venue

From now on, if a show is billed as "Jimmy Gnecco" he will primarily be playing his non-Ours music (such as his outside collaborations and the like).

New Shows/ New Drummer

Ours will be playing shows starting in mid-April opening for the band Dredg!

Zambia Greene, formerly of The Teenbeaters, is the new drummer for Ours. He was also the drummer for the band back in 1995 before they were signed. He will be playing with the band at these upcoming shows.

Ours In The Studio

The band has completed the recording of it's third album! Only the mixing process remains and it will be completed in the Fall. The album was produced by legendary beardster Rick Rubin and recorded at his supposedly haunted mansion in the hills of Laurel Canyon. Drummer Michael Jerome (PleasureClub/Course of Empire) has assisted the band in recording most of the drums for the album. The still-untitled album will consist of 10-12 tracks. Many of the new songs played at recent shows will undoubtedly make the album. The album's expected release date will be sometime in early 2006.

Jimmy Guests On Savoy's New Album / New Acoustic Shows/ Album News

Jimmy has also lent his vocals to the new album from the band Savoy (an A-Ha side project). He does backing vocals on "Shooing Spree" and lead vocals on "The Breakers". On a side note, former Ours bassist Greg Calvert toured with Savoy while they were supporting their first album.

Ours Tour

Ours will be playing an acoustic/electric tour this summer containing over 20 dates! The shows will not be solo and there will be some surprises. Pit and Anthony

As you may have already heard, Pit and Anthony are no longer playing music with Ours. What needs to be understood is that this is not something to be sad about, but rather an opportunity to wish them well in their future endeavors.
Since 1994, Jimmy has had many people come in to Ours to help him achieve his musical vision. Ours has always essentially been a solo project, and it's been Jimmy's great privilege to have so many great friends and even family members be a part of Ours. Distorted Lullabies was for the most part a solo record, and the band that toured as Ours were all close friends that Jimmy brought in to the circle to help him spread his music and fulfill his vision. But much like what Nine Inch Nails seems to be, Ours has been and will remain Jimmy's creative outlet for his musical ideas and visions. People will come and go, and the circle will continue to grow. When someone leaves it is almost never on bad terms, but rather to pursue something else in their lives.
We all wish Anthony and Pit nothing but infinite success, happiness, and the fulfillment of all their dreams. But as long as Jimmy continues to make music, Ours will continue to exist and to grow. In case you are wondering, the song on the Spider-man 2 soundtrack was billed the way it was because it was not entirely Jimmy's project, and thus it was not called Ours. Hope that clears everything up. Thanks.

New song on Spider-Man 2 Soundtrack

Jimmy has collaborated with guitarist Brian May of Queen for a new song on the Spiderman 2 soundtrack. The song is called "Someone To Die For" and was produced by Rick Rubin. The CD is released on June 22, 2004.

Neverending White Lights Collaboration

Jimmy has worked with musician Daniel Victor on an interesting project. The project intends to group together many talented musicians that would otherwise never cross paths. Jimmy has contributed some songwriting and vocals for the album. Other contributors include the band Mogwai, members of 311, and the vocalists for Shudder to Think, Creeper Lagoon, Hum, and Finger 11. The album is due out sometime this year.

Ours Debuts Two New Guitarists
During a two night stand in New York City on December 19th and 20th, Ours debuted not one but two new guitarists to the surprise of many fans. The new guitarists are Locke and Vinny. Locke was chosen from those who auditioned and Vinny is a friend of the band. Jimmy is now able to fully concentrate on vocal duties during live shows. Great choices, guys! DreamWorks Merger Planned
DreamWorks SKG is close to a deal to sell its music unit to Vivendi
Universal SA's (V) Universal Music Group for about $100 million. It is unclear what effect this will have on Ours but these matters usually don't go smoothly. more info

Third Album Info
The band is in the studio in CT and has started to work on a limited number of songs that may appear on Ours' third release. Jimmy is producing these tracks while Peter Katis (Interpol: Turn on the Bright Lights) is handling the mixing of the songs.

Dave Milone Leaves Ours / New Album News
Ours has begun work on their 3rd DreamWorks record at Tarquin Studios in Connecticut. Unfortunately, guitarist Dave Milone is not joining the band on this recording in order to pursue different musical projects. Ours wishes Dave great happiness and success in all his future endeavors.
